The University of East-West Medicine (UEWM) is a private, non-profit institution of higher learning located in Santa Monica, California, USA. The school confers degrees in both traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and Western medicine (WM), and offers a unique curriculum that integrates the two approaches.

UEWM was founded in 1993 by Dr. Michael Galitzer, who serves as the school's president and chancellor. The school's mission is to provide students with a "comprehensive and integrated education in both Western and Chinese medicine, with an emphasis on the clinical applications of these modalities."

UEWM offers a four-year Doctor of Medicine (MD) program, as well as Master of Science (MS) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programs in TCM. The school also offers a number of certificate programs.

The MD program at UEWM is a traditional four-year program that includes two years of pre-clinical coursework and two years of clinical rotations. The first two years of the program are spent completing coursework in basic sciences, such as anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry. Students also complete coursework in TCM subjects such as acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and Tuina (Chinese medical massage).

In the third and fourth years of the program, students complete clinical rotations in various medical specialties, such as internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, and obstetrics/gynecology. Students also have the opportunity to complete elective rotations in TCM clinics.

Upon graduation, students are eligible to take the Medical Licensing Examinations (MLE) in both California and National level. UEWM graduates have a high pass rate on these exams, and many go on to complete residency training in various medical specialties.

The MS and PhD programs in TCM at UEWM are designed for students who wish to pursue careers in research or academia. The programs include coursework in TCM subjects such as acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and Tuina. Students also complete coursework in Western subjects such as biochemistry, physiology, and pharmacology.

Graduates of the MS and PhD programs in TCM are prepared for careers in research, teaching, and clinical practice. Many graduates go on to complete post-doctoral fellowships or become faculty members at universities and colleges.

UEWM also offers a number of certificate programs for students who wish to study TCM or WM, but do not wish to pursue a degree. These programs range in length from six months to two years, and include coursework in TCM or WM subjects.

UEWM is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM). The school is also a member of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) and the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC).
