Thiel College is a private, coeducational, liberal arts college located in Greenville, Pennsylvania. The college was founded in 1866 and is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The college offers bachelor's degrees in more than 60 majors and minors, as well as master's degrees in business administration, education, and counseling. Thiel College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The college's athletic teams compete in the NCAA Division III Presidents' Athletic Conference.

Thiel College was founded in 1866 by the Rev. Dr. William Passavant as a coeducational, Lutheran college. The college was named for its first benefactor, Judge John G. Thiel, who donated $50,000 to the school. The college's first class consisted of just 17 students.

In its early years, Thiel College was a small, regional school. However, by the early 20th century, the college had begun to grow and expand its programs. In 1925, the college added a department of business, and in 1928, a department of education. In the 1930s, the college began offering master's degrees in business and education.

During World War II, Thiel College served as a training ground for military personnel. In the 1950s, the college began to expand its campus, adding new buildings and dormitories. In the 1960s, the college added new programs in the arts and sciences. In the 1970s, the college added a department of counseling.

Today, Thiel College is a thriving liberal arts college with more than 60 majors and minors. The college offers bachelor's degrees in a wide range of disciplines, as well as master's degrees in business administration, education, and counseling. Thiel College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and is a member of the Association of American Colleges and Universities.

The college's athletic teams compete in the NCAA Division III Presidents' Athletic Conference. The Thiel Tomcats field teams in baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, lacrosse, soccer, softball, tennis, track and field, and volleyball. The college also offers a wide range of intramural and club sports.
