The Art Institute of Austin is a private, non-profit college of art and design located in Austin, Texas. It is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. The Art Institute of Austin offers Associate of Applied Arts and Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in a variety of majors including animation, graphic design, interior design, and photography. The college also offers a Master of Arts in Education degree with a concentration in art education.

The Art Institute of Austin was founded in 1979 as the Austin School of Fashion Design. The school was later renamed the Austin Institute of Fashion Technology before becoming the Art Institute of Austin in 2002. The college is located in downtown Austin, near the University of Texas at Austin and the Texas State Capitol. The Art Institute of Austin is a member of the Laureate International Universities network.
