Stockton University is a public university in Galloway Township, New Jersey. It is part of the New Jersey System of Higher Education. The university offers both undergraduate and graduate programs. Undergraduate programs are offered in the areas of business, education, liberal arts, and science. Graduate programs are offered in the areas of business, education, and science. The university also offers a number of online programs.

Stockton University was founded in 1969 as the Atlantic County Community College. The college was renamed Stockton State College in 1971 and became a four-year institution in 1976. The college was renamed Stockton University in 2015. The university is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.

Stockton University is located on a 1,600-acre campus in Galloway Township, New Jersey. The campus includes a number of academic and administrative buildings, a library, a student center, a recreation center, and a number of residence halls. The university also owns and operates a number of off-campus facilities, including a conference center, a marine science center, and an environmental research center.

Stockton University enrolls approximately 8,000 students. The university offers a number of scholarships and financial aid programs. The university is a member of the NCAA Division III and offers a number of intercollegiate sports teams.
