Southwest Acupuncture College-Boulder (SWAC-Boulder) is a nationally accredited institution of higher learning that offers a Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine (MSTCM) and a Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) degree. The college is located in the historic town of Boulder, Colorado, nestled against the Rocky Mountains.

SWAC-Boulder was founded in 1987 by Dr. John Amaro, an internationally recognized authority in the field of acupuncture and Oriental medicine. The college’s mission is to provide the highest quality education in Traditional Chinese Medicine, while preserving the integrity of this ancient healing art.

The MSTCM program at SWAC-Boulder is a four-year, full-time program that includes didactic coursework, clinical training, and a research thesis. The program is designed to prepare students for a career in acupuncture and Oriental medicine, as well as to provide a solid foundation for further study at the doctoral level.

The DAOM program at SWAC-Boulder is a two-year, full-time program that includes didactic coursework, clinical training, and a research thesis. The program is designed to prepare students for a career in acupuncture and Oriental medicine, as well as to provide a solid foundation for further study at the doctoral level.

SWAC-Boulder is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM), and is a member of the Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Colleges (AAOMC).
