Founded in 1891, Seattle University is a Jesuit Catholic university located on 50 acres in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood. More than 7,800 students are enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs within eight schools and colleges.

The school's sports teams are nicknamed the Redhawks. Seattle University has been ranked the No. 1 school in the Northwest for 25 years in a row by U.S. News & World Report.

Seattle University offers more than 100 undergraduate majors and programs, 37 graduate degrees, and a number of professional and certificate programs. The most popular undergraduate majors are business, nursing, education, and engineering.
