Seattle Central College is a public community college in Seattle, Washington. Seattle Central College was founded in 1966 as Seattle Community College. The college was created in response to the growing need for higher education in the Seattle area. The college originally operated out of a single building in downtown Seattle. In 1971, the college moved to its current location in the Capitol Hill neighborhood.
