SUNY College at Oswego is a public college located in Oswego, New York. It is part of the State University of New York system. The college was founded in 1861 as the Oswego Primary Teachers Training School. It became a state Normal School in 1866 and a state Teachers College in 1930. The college was granted university status in 1948 and became part of the SUNY system in 1950. The college offers over 100 undergraduate and graduate programs. The college is home to the SUNY Oswego Metro Center, which offers classes and programs to adult learners in the Syracuse area. The college has an enrollment of over 8,000 students.
