Northwest Nazarene University is located in Nampa, Idaho. It is a private, Christian university affiliated with the Church of the Nazarene. The university was founded in 1913 as a two-year college and began offering four-year degrees in 1949. Today, the university offers over 60 undergraduate and graduate programs.

NNU has an enrollment of over 2,000 students, representing all 50 states and over 30 countries. The student-to-faculty ratio is 14-to-1, and the average class size is 20. The university is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.

NNU’s campus is located on 106 acres in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. The university’s buildings include the Brandt Center, which houses the school of business and education; the Johnson Sports Center, which includes an Olympic-size pool, a climbing wall, and a fitness center; and the Center for the Arts, which houses a 400-seat theatre, an art gallery, and music rehearsal rooms.

The university’s athletic teams, the Nighthawks, compete in the NCAA Division II Great Northwest Athletic Conference. The university offers a variety of student organizations, including academic clubs, service organizations, and social clubs.

NNU’s alumni include former Idaho governor Cecil Andrus, NFL player Ryan Harris, and author Jess Walter.
