Mills College is a private liberal arts college in Oakland, California. It is one of the oldest women's colleges in the United States and has been historically affiliated with the Episcopal Church. The campus is located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains. The college offers bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, and doctorates, as well as certificate programs.

Mills College was founded in 1852 as the Young Ladies' Seminary in Benicia, California. The school was renamed Mills Seminary in 1866 and became Mills College in 1885. In 1925, the college moved to Oakland, California, and became the first women's college west of the Rockies. The campus was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, who also designed New York's Central Park.

Mills College is known for its academic excellence and has been ranked among the top tier of liberal arts colleges by U.S. News & World Report. The college is also known for its progressive values and social justice commitment.
