Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences (KCU) is a private, non-profit medical school located in Joplin, Missouri, in the United States. It is one of four medical schools in Missouri and is the only one in the southwest corner of the state. KCU was founded in 2010 and welcomed its first class of students in 2011.

The university is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. It offers the Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree and a dual MD/MSci degree in medical science. The university also offers a number of graduate-level programs and certificates.

KCU is committed to training primary care physicians and other health care professionals to serve the needs of the communities in the southwest Missouri region and beyond. The university offers a unique curriculum that integrates basic sciences, clinical sciences, and research from the beginning of medical school through graduation.

In addition to its educational programs, KCU also operates a number of clinics that provide medical care to underserved populations in the region. These clinics include the KCU Community Health Center, the KCU Student-Run Free Clinic, and the KCU Faculty Practice Plan.

KCU is governed by a Board of Trustees and is led by President and CEO, Marc B. Hahn, MD. The university has a faculty of more than 200 and a student body of more than 700.
