Indiana University-Purdue University-Indianapolis (IUPUI) is a public research university in Indianapolis, Indiana. A core campus of Indiana University that also hosts Purdue University programs, it is the result of a merger of the two universities in 1969. It is the state's largest university and the only public university in the city.

The campus is located just west of downtown Indianapolis, on the site of the former Indiana Central Canal. The school is a member of the Association of American Universities and the Big Ten Conference. It is also home to the Indiana University School of Medicine, the largest medical school in the United States.

IUPUI has an enrollment of more than 30,000 students, making it the second-largest university in Indiana after Indiana University Bloomington. The school offers more than 200 undergraduate, graduate, and professional degrees from IU and Purdue.

The university is divided into 20 academic schools and departments, which offer more than 350 degree programs. The most popular majors at IUPUI include business, health sciences, nursing, psychology, and social sciences.

IUPUI is known for its health sciences programs, which are some of the best in the country.
