Concordia University-Chicago (CUC) is a private Lutheran higher education institution in River Forest, Illinois. Concordia University-Chicago was founded in 1864 as a German-language university, making it the oldest university in Chicago and the only one founded before the city's 1871 incorporation. The original campus was in the city's Austin neighborhood on the West Side. In 1913, the school relocated to the River Forest suburb, becoming one of the first suburban colleges in the United States. Concordia University-Chicago is organized into seven colleges: Arts & Sciences, Business, Education, Graduate Studies, Health & Human Services, Innovation & Technology, and Nursing. The university offers more than 100 undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs.

Concordia University-Chicago's campus covers 30 acres (12 ha) of land in River Forest. The campus has several buildings, including the Chapel of Our Lord, the Administrative Center, the Centennial Hall auditorium, the library, and the student center. The university also has a number of athletic facilities, including a football stadium, a basketball arena, and a golf course.

Concordia University-Chicago is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. The university's nursing program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
