Boston Baptist College is a small, private, Christian college located in Boston, Massachusetts. The college was founded in 1873 by a group of Baptist ministers and laymen, and was originally known as the New England Baptist Training School. The school's mission was to train men for the Baptist ministry. In its early years, the school struggled financially, and was often forced to close its doors for short periods of time. However, the school persevered, and in time, became one of the leading Baptist colleges in the country. Today, Boston Baptist College is an accredited institution, offering a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs. The college is committed to providing a Christ-centered education, and to preparing students for leadership and service in the church and the world.
