Asbury University is a private, Christian university located in Wilmore, Kentucky, United States. The university offers undergraduate degrees in over 40 majors and graduate degrees in nine different areas. Asbury University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. The university's athletics teams compete in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and are members of the Mid-South Conference.

Asbury University was founded in 1874 by John Wesley Hughes, a Methodist minister and former slaveholder. The university was originally named Kentucky Holiness University, but was renamed Asbury College in 1887 in honor of Francis Asbury, the first American Methodist bishop. The college began offering graduate programs in 1925 and began admitting women in 1954. In 1984, the college was renamed Asbury University.

Asbury University's campus is located on 125 acres (0.51 km2) in Wilmore, Kentucky. The campus includes several historic buildings, including Hughes Memorial Chapel, which was built in 1878; Kinlaw Library, which was built in 1891; and the Administration Building, which was built in 1902. The university also operates Asbury Theological Seminary, which is located on the campus, and Asbury University Online.

Asbury University offers over 40 undergraduate majors, including business, communications, education, English, history, nursing, and psychology. The university also offers nine graduate programs, including business administration, counseling, divinity, education, and nursing.

Asbury University's athletics teams compete in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and are members of the Mid-South Conference. The university's men's sports teams include baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, tennis, and track and field. The university's women's sports teams include basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, track and field, and volleyball.

Asbury University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. The university's nursing program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
