American National University (ANU) is a for-profit university headquartered in Salem, Virginia. The university was founded in 1886 as the National Business College, and later became American National College. ANU offers associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees, as well as certificate programs, in business, healthcare, and information technology.

ANU is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) to award degrees at the associate's, bachelor's, and master's levels. The university is also approved by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia to award degrees at the associate's, bachelor's, and master's levels.
